How much is it for the dinner dance? Only a few days away will be some night!!

This Sat Nov 19th at 4pm our Club, Con Magees Glenravel, is hosting the 'Live To Play' event run by the Ulster GAA Council. For any of you who don’t know what it is, it’s about promoting safe driving among young drivers (16 – 24year olds), but is open to ALL DRIVERS no matter what age you are.

Both the PSNI and the local Fire Brigade will be in attendance and will both be giving demonstrations and talks. Let me just point out that the PSNI Officer stated that HIS slide show/video is quite graphic and would feel uncomfortable with anyone under 15 years old watching it. Both these demonstrations/videos are meant to shock and awe people into thinking about how they drive.

This really is an opportunity not to be missed. But more importantly, its a chance to learn from other peoples mistakes and to become better, safer drivers for yourself, your family and your friends!!!!!!

We would just like to thank everyone who contributed to a very successful night. The final total raised was £1812.

The next big fundraiser is on Saturday the 3rd March 2012. Hypnotist Michael McCoy is coming to the ACORN Centre with his 2 hour comedy stage show. Tickets are £10 and are available from any committee member or on a Monday night at the lotto. Get in early, as it is a ticket only event. The CRDA are hosting a Fundraising table quiz on Friday 11th Novemeber 2011 at 8pm in the ACORN Centre. Admission is £3 and everybody is welcome.

The vote for Clubperson of the Year will take place this Monday (7th Nov) at the monthly Club Meeting. Anyone who wishes to vote please make sure you are either at the LOTTO draw or the meeting afterwards.
